Fishing permit

Apply online for your fishing permit 2025 on visverlof.be

From 1 December 2024, you can easily apply online for your fishing permit for 2025 on visverlof.be:

• Sign in with your Belgian eID/itsme or your email address.
• Press the button ‘New request 2025’ (Nieuwe aanvraag 2025).
• After online payment you can download the fishing permit.
   

On visverlof.be you can also apply for a fishing permit for another angler:

• After signing in, press the button ‘New request 2025’ (Nieuwe aanvraag 2025).
• Select the option ‘For someone else’ (Voor iemand anders) and fill in the details of the other angler.
• After online payment you can download the fishing permit.
   

In 2024 you still bought your fishing permit at the post office, but from 2027 bpost will no longer distribute fishing permits.
We recommend you to apply for your fishing permit online from now on. This is also faster and cheaper because bpost charges an additional cost of € 4.85.

• Ask a relative, friend or another angler for assistance. They also can easily apply for a fishing permit for you on visverlof.be
• Check the digital options in your community. Some libraries or town halls offer free computer use.
• Ask your angling shop to apply for a fishing permit for you.
